Breakfast in the Square

As far as we are concerned there is one place for a good, hearty breakfast with great friendly service and cozy atmosphere in the Square: Courtside Cafe.  This hidden eatery has changed hands a few times since we've lived here and frankly, the basement location and the fact that we'd never heard anything(good or bad) about it, kept us from going.    After a recommendation from a friend,  now we're regulars.  Brendan and the kids have gone there several times and it's been worth the trip every time.  It's affordable, the portions are hearty and the service is fast and friendly.  The owner Nestor is Venezuelan with a young family of his own and so it's a very family friendly place.  Parking can be tricky, although on the weekends, there seems to be plenty on the street or on the side street next to the Post Office.   Support another great local business, oh, and try their unique hash.....yum!

  1. I remember eating breakfast at King's Court Coffee Shoppe every morning for over 45 years. I wish Nestor the best of luck. He's got some mighty big shoes to fill.
